Replacement of blower heater on Lancer X
Let us replace blower fan on Mitsubishi Lancer X.
The other day, a blower heater on my Mitsubishi Lancer X began to operate with noise and crackling.
It was not unexpected for me, as I knew about given Lancer X sickness, but as far as it is a winter now, I have decided to remove a blower fan in the nearest future as well as perform a low maintenance in order not to loose a valued heat in winter.
Unfortunately, in a couple of days, the blower heater began to start every other, wedge up. And then wholly wedged.
I have read reviews on Drive2, there are lots of articles on redevelopment of given motors: they install new bearings, change copper slugs, brushes etc.,
But I also read comments, from which I understood that these decisions are temporary, for some it takes a year, for others it takes a couple of months. That is why I have decided to install fully new blower heater.
Ideally one needs to install the original blower fan Mitsubishi 7802A217, but one has to wait for it for a week and it costs 10 000 rubles. And I remind you, there is a cold weather of 20 degrees below zero now.
So, I have decided to install not-original. Among the all not-original motors, the good reviews were about Luzar LFh 1104 and Termal 4028952M.
In my town there was Termal 4028952M available. I bought it. Visually the original motor and Termal are almost identical.
The installation is quite simple. Remove glovebox and lower part under the glovebox.
Disconnect the connector, remove a tube.
The motor itself is fastened with 3 self-tapping screws, unscrew them and remove a motor. In reverse order install the new one.
Riding for a couple of days, as a whole, everything operates well. The only thing is that Termal 4028952M operates a little more noisy than original motor, but it is not distracting at all, just as a fact.
