As a default, the average fuel consumption on Mitsubishi Lancer X is counted automatically and is reset every time after transferring the key in LOCK position (idle period).

There is a point of disabling the automatic counting and transferring to the manual mode in the dash panel. But the manual mode is also reset and transferred to the automatic after 4 hours of idle period.

This, in turn, creates the error in accurate calculation of car's average consumption in a long distance trip or from one gas station to another.

It is possible to disable the automatic resetting of average fuel consumption in ETACS unit, in Trip Computer Autoreset Return at IG OFF point.

For disabling you need:
1. J2534 compatible adapter. Bought here: Аliexpress
Реклама. ООО "АЛИБАБА.КОМ (РУ)", ИНН 7703380158

2. MMCodingWriter, the program for downloading and coding recording.
3. MUT Coding Mitsubishi, the program for coding editing.
4. Laptop.

Since 2021, the MUT Coding Mitsubishi program has become paid, or you can buy it from the developer, or use the built-in editor in the MMCoding Writer program.
How to activate hidden functions and what you need for that, you can find out in the article Activating hidden functions and options on Mitsubishi.

Activate in Variant coding:
Trip Computer Autoreset Return at IG OFF – ON --> Not available.

Now it is possible to reset the average fuel consumption on Lancer X only manually, by pressing the button INFO.
