Let us fully install, activate and test the cruise control on Lancer X.

I have Mitsubishi Lancer X'11 (restyling, 1.8 l. engine, CVT variator). Shortly, restyling means that all defects in auto were eliminated and something was improved. However, there are some advantages and disadvantages when it comes to options setting on restyled Mitsubishi Lancer X. More on this below.
For easy reference, this instruction is represented in 2 versions: text and video at the end.
IMPORTANT! This instruction is workable for Lancer X with 1.8, 2.0 and 2.4 l. engines both on manual transmission and variator.
As for 1.5 and 1.6 l. engines, the cruise control function in electronic control unit was cut off. As a rule, the part of wiring, designed for that option is absent on these engines.
Technically, it is important to install cruise control on these engines, but it will be necessary to replace electronic control unit and buildup wiring.
Also by using given instruction, cruise control on Mitsubishi Outlander XL and ASX was successfully installed.
Components for cruise control on Lancer 10
1. Steering wheel buttons (8602A008) bought here Aliexpress2. Footbrake switch (8614A183) bought here Aliexpress
3. Clutch pedal switch (MB435457). (Only for cars with manual transmission).

There are not any difficulties during the installation. To install steering wheel buttons, unscrew the right protective cover on steering wheel, there is a connector out of the box to which new buttons for cruise control should be connected.
Footbrake switch is also installed without any problems. There is a detecting element under brake pedal. Remove it and install new one. Do not forget to connect it.If you are an owner of Lancer 10 with manual transmission, you need to install detector under clutch pedal. It is installed similarly to footbrake switch, unscrew old one and put new one.
If your Mitsubishi Lancer X is manufactured before 2011 year, then when you press cruise control button there will be corresponding sign on dashboard. It means that cruise control is activated and ready for use.
If your Mitsubishi Lancer X is manufactured after 2011 year, you could meet with difficulties. The cruise control activation will be required.
The procedure of cruise control activation on Lancer 10
For that we need:

2. MMCodingWriter software for downloading and code writing.
3. MUT Coding Mitsubishi software for code editing.
4. Laptop.

Cruise control activates in Variant Coding of engine electronic control unit. It is necessary to activate these 2 points:
- Cruise Control - -> present;
- Cruise Control Option Coding - -> accept.

Cruise control works at a speed 40 km/h and higher.
1. ON/OFF button- cruise control on/off switching.2. COAST SET button- actual speed fixation (with a single press) or loss of specified speed (with holding pressed button)
3. ACC RES button- for specified speed increase (with holding pressed button) or for returning to reference constant speed.
4. CANCEL button- switching speed fixation off (or press the brake pedal down).
